JNVST 2027 New Exam Pattern
NVS has introduced changes in the exam pattern for 2027. Here is what your child should prepare for:
| Subject | Questions | Marks | Time |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mental Ability | 40 | 50 | 2 hours |
| Arithmetic | 20 | 25 | |
| Language | 20 | 25 |
Total: 80 questions, 100 marks, 2 hours. All questions are objective type (MCQ). There is no negative marking.
Exam Date Changed — Now 28 November 2026
Unlike previous years where JNVST was held in January-February, the 2027 exam has been preponed to 28 November 2026. This means students have less time to prepare. Start today — every week counts.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Wrong name spelling — Name must match Aadhaar exactly. Even one wrong letter can cause rejection.
- Incorrect date of birth — Use the date on the birth certificate, not the school register.
- Blurry photo upload — Use a clear, recent passport photo with white background.
- Wrong district selection — The child must appear for the exam from the district where they study.
- Missing the deadline — 31 July 2026 is firm. No late applications accepted.
